Habitarematerials made its international debut at Milan Design Week 2023, invited to be part of the Alcova exhibition. The booth design and material curation were handled by NEMO Architects, while I acted as the lead producer on-site in Milan. I was responsible for securing and managing corporate partners, serving as the project’s main contact person, and overseeing both the setup and dismantling of the exhibition.

Alcova Milano 2023 was held in the Ex Macello district, a former slaughterhouse and wholesale market area. Habitarematerials succeeded in securing an exhibition space right next to the entrance. During the week, the event drew 90,000 visitors—most of them designers, creatives, and architects. The Habitarematerials exhibition received media coverage in Finland in Kauppalehti Optio and internationally in publications such as Wallpaper, Icon, and Interni.

HABITAREMATERIALS is an experiential and inspiring materials exhibition area within Habitare, where visitors can explore surface materials and experiment with combinations for their own projects and purchases. Visitors select, combine, and arrange material samples to create their own collage on a collage table, which can be documented and shared. They also receive product information from the manufacturers of their chosen materials to support future purchases.
